Tesorio

Principal Product Designer

Tesorio is an early-stage startup in the B2B Fintech sector, providing accounts receivable automation and cash flow visibility and predictability. I brought a breadth of skills beyond leading product design, including product management, product strategy research and marketing experimentation. I contributed expertise in navigating complex systems functionality and complex problem spaces, designing for experiences powered by GenAI and ML and maturing our product organization.

Key Achievements:

  • Designed a self-serve onboarding flow for new customers, reducing the time to onboard from 20 days to 4 days and freeing up CS resources by reducing customer registration time from 60 minutes to 30 seconds.
  • Led and launched our Accounts Receivable Forecast product from 0 to 1 as product manager and design advisor. Beta launched in 6 weeks and GA in 5 months. Led value pricing research during beta. Missed our initial goal immediately after GA, but met our year end goal for customer conversions by 108%.
  • Led experimentation projects to increase our marketing impact, with final outcomes of 9% increase in overall visitors per week and 50% increase in our conversion rate.
  • Led the design of our company's first AI agent, Supplier Portals Agent. Worked with beta customers to iterate on designs and functionality, and established AI product guidelines to ensure we deliver on trust and security.
  • Undertook survey and interview research to better understand finance professionals who work with cash forecasting, which was used to guide the needs and understand value drivers of our forecast products.

Xinova

Product Design Lead

At Xinova, I helped to build a new platform to facilitate innovation, bringing together our network of innovators with our customers needing to innovate.

Key Achievements:

  • Owned the design and UX of network engagement, leading projects like helping members set up a "storefront" profile, onboarding new members, encouraging profile completion, and creating a referral program. Doubled to tripled the percentage of active users with specific profile data points, increasing our knowledge of our members and the expertise they have.
  • Designed a complex workflow process for our Xinova platform, approached using systems thinking, breaking down the architecture elements, how things are interconnected, and the mental model in which users approach the system. This solution was designed with scalability in mind, and implemented for lean market validation.
  • Led a design team initiative to translate our ambiguous company vision into a design vision and proposal to provide our company a common foundation for discussions.
  • As team lead of our product designers, I guide the team to work collaboratively together, ensure the success of individuals and the team, and help oversee the coordination of design efforts across multiple projects. I also help to identify opportunities for our team, working with leadership to help formulate and execute our product vision.

WDS (Wireless Data Services)

UX Designer

WDS focused on improving the customer experience of purchasing and owning a mobile phone, through the insights and operations of call centers, retail purchase and support products.

Key Achievements:

  • As sole designer and evangelizer of great UX across the company, I provided design consulting for our product development teams, as well as led the design as an embedded resource.
  • Led the design of products in many different spaces including ecommerce, support software and data analytics products, and across multiple channels including retail stores, call centers, online websites, web apps, and mobile Android and iOS. The products spanned both internal and external facing products, B2B, B2C, and B2B2C.
  • Integrated continuous user research into our process. This included establishing monthly standing usability tests as a quick and dirty means of getting user feedback on a regular basis. Frequent research and design testing was also undertaken in the call centers, in keeping with our Agile development process. I also led a generative research initiative that utilized ethnographic observation and interviews of retail associates within stores selling mobile device products, visiting 17 stores across 3 markets, and interviewing 26 retail associates. The results of this research provided the basis for our product roadmap.
